Vote the Lamb

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” (Rev.5:12)

We are being bombarded with political ads, debates, and yard signs lauding everyone’s particular candidate of choice. Election season finds some who are very outspoken for those they are supporting, while others become extremely secretive regarding who will get their ballot. Personally, I am more than happy to tell anyone who asks who I have voted for, because I always try to do my homework and select the candidate(s) I believe will do what is best for our city, county, state, and/or country. As of right now, I am still unsure of those for whom I will vote. Our nation is divided along many lines with one of the most visible and vociferous being the political divide. Some stand with the Democrats (donkey) and others stand with the Republicans (elephant). There have been capable candidates on both sides, and there have been some morally inept candidates on both sides. Truth is, donkeys and elephants will often disappoint, but the Lamb never will! It is always good and right to base our political decisions on those things that will draw us closer to Jesus. Everything we do should revolve around him, including the choices we make in the voting booth. Vote for the Lamb, and you will never be disappointed!

“Father, we know that you still rule in the kingdoms of men. Help us to realize that our faith in you is to permeate everything we do. Help us to keep our focus on things above, even as we deal with the things of this earth. And help us to give our allegiance to the Lamb who died for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
